Answer to Pam's question
Wednesday, 25 July 2007
To pam: Your love language is quality time and words of affirmation. Can see that. Pam so demanding! Quality time requires the most time and 100% concentration! Heeee.
As for mine, it's physical touch and receiving gifts. I'm very easy to please.

hello everyone!! :Dpam here! (:
for the benefit of those who were not at cg last week, we've decided on our outreach for the month of july!! (:
we'll be doing E310's version of settlers cafe! (: it will be held next sunday, 29th july! venue and time have not been confirmed yet. so do check out for the latest updates k!
12 more days to this outreach! so guys, let us make full use of these 12 days to reach out to our frens! (: just like wat wayne preached during cg 2 weeks ago, let's put the msg into practise and work for the harvest! indeed, the harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few. let us strive hard and plough thru the harvest field for the kingdom of God! (:
maybe some of us have lost the passion and fire to reach out to our frens, but let us not grow weary of doing good for in due season, we will definitely reap! only when we move, will God move! so guys, let us catch the fires of revival! (: let us not see our frens thru our natural eyes, but let us see them thru God's eyes.. thru the eye's of faith! believing that ALL things will work out for those who love God!
sometimes we may think that it's so difficult to reach out... we may think that our frens will definitely not go... but if u nv try inviting them, how will u noe? if u nv take that first step to get into their lives, how will u noe that they will not be open towards u? at such a time like this, let us put away that fear of rejection... let us not limit God and limit ourselves k! (: i believe that thru this outreach, we're sowing a seed in every person who comes! and even if that fren does not turn up, i believe that ur invitation to ur fren has alr sown a seed! (:
anyway.. just to share with all of u.. everytime when there's big days or outreaches, i would always like to set a target of the number of frens i would like to bring! and well, when a target is set, i'll list down all the possible frens that i could invite.. i'll pray over them and pray that God will allow me to bring that number of frens! and more often than not, i'm always able to bring more frens than wat i set out to bring by God's grace! indeed, God is a God of more than enough!
so guys, i really want to challenge all of u to set ur own target of frens! (: maybe it's been quite some time since some of us have brought frens for svc, cg or outreach... and maybe now is the time to renew that passion! catch the fires of revival my frens! :D
my target is to bring 10-15 frens! how abt urs? (:
anyway... just to remind all of u, this week we'll be having a cg prayer meeting on sunday.. and of course, we'll definitely be praying for the outreach next week! so... let us all come prepared to pray up a storm! and pauline says we'll be doing sth quite interesting during the prayer meeting as well! so let's be EXCITED!! :D
last but not least, a reminder from our dearest kevin to bring cg fund of $5 this weekend and pass it to either kevin or jasmine. let's try to cooperate with our treasurers so that there will be less hassle in collecting the funds ya? (:
so yup! that's all for today! take care everyone! and may all of ur remaining days of the week be super duper blessed!
love all of u! -huggs- (:

| | REST
Lost your 'cutting edge'? You have to stop chopping to sharpen the axe - can't sharpen it while you're still chopping. It will not grow sharper if you keep on using it. It will only grow duller. We stop cutting, we rest. We recover our 'cutting edge.' With less effort and more wisdom we find ourselves succeeding. An Indian proverb says 'the bow that is always strung becomes slack.' The best time to relax is before you have to. If we make no time to rest, our mortal frame will force us to do so, somehow. | |

Learning to trust...
Saturday, 14 July 2007
Hey there...just realise that its been sometime since i last blogged in
the cell group's blog so decided to post an entry on the things that happened
in the last few weeks in my life ^^
Some of you might have already known that i was suppose to be down-pas due
to my knee injury but i fought to stay in my unit as i felt that it was something
worth doing instead of being just another medic in the medical centre...
however just last week we were allowed to vote for who
we wanted as our permanent I/Cs for the different teams...i was running for 3
of the positions but on the day itself my sergeants vetoed all the votes i received
stating that i was injured hence i wasn't allowed to run for the positions
because if my condition worsen it might affect the effectiveness of the unit...
Needless to say that i was pretty devastated and at that point i felt that all
the hard work i have put in just went down the drain literally...
honestly felt like just giving up at that moment and just slack through the
remainder of my NS life but luckily i talked to a few of the members who
encouraged me to keep on trying and not give up...didn't really felt like doing
but i listened to them and just continue to give my best and trusted
in God to know what is best for me...
This week God opened doors for me because i was placed in-charged
of an entire section by my
IC who disobeyed the sergeant
that i was suppose to take it easy and not be given too many responsibility...
somehow with God's grace the section became the standard that the
rest of the platoon is looking up to...
I learned something important from all these things that happened is that
sometimes its not about the post you are given or what you are officially
placed in-charged of before you can start to affect those around you...
just simply giving your 100% and placing the rest in God's hands and have
faith that He will do the rest for us will produce results you never expected...
I know that many of us are still not that close to each other as we multiplied
not that long ago but i want to encourage all of you to start pressing into each
other's lives if you have not already done so...only then can you can you
support each other when you are feeling down or if you are facing
problems be it in your school, work or even personal life ^^
Terrence
QuahPS: This blogs is for all the members to post anything you guys want...
from what you have been facing to the cute dress u saw at orchard road
to that latest sports bike so please don't be shy and start posting ^^

hahamel says:
hmm haha. SO friends, u might be wondering why i'm showing all of u this part of my conversation with my dearest fren! simply becoz from this whole convo, i realised that speaking the other party's love language is REALLY impt! if ur not speaking the receiver's love language, u may think ur showing love, BUT actually he/she might not really feel that he/she is receiving love! (:
SO... let me educate u on the 5 love languages! hee.
1. physical touch
2. quality time
3. words of affirmation
4. giving of gifts
5. acts of service
my love language is
quality time and
words of affirmation! :D therefore, spend more time with me and affirm me more! hee. =P
at this point, i would really like to challenge all of u to find out what are the other members love languages! (: i mean.. it's always good to noe each other's love languages so that we can shower each other with our love more effectively! :D like wat is being taught in CIC,
love God wholeheartedly, love pple fervently.. (:
SOOOOOOOOOOOO........ let the love of God overflow in this place!! :D
WHAT'S YOUR LOVE LANGUAGE??? tell me! i really want to noe! :D
speak my love language! hee. :D

consistency! (:
Tuesday, 10 July 2007
hi everyone! i read this email from joel osteen's devotions and i tot i would like to share it with all of u! (: anyway.. we need more pple to blog more actively lehs!! (:
here goes...
BE CONSISTENT"You should not stay away from the church meetings, as some are doing, but you should meet together and encourage each other" Hebrews 10:25 (NCV).Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Today, we would like to impress upon you the importance of consistently in serving God. Never, never give up on Him, because He never gives up on you! Some believers may be in the habit of living for themselves and dishonoring God, but don't let your circumstances cause you to become discouraged and give up on meeting together with other believers for worshi and fellowship. The church is the center of God's plan for this day. He wants to bless us not only individually, but also corporately as the body of Christ. When you're consistent in your worship, then others may be encouraged to stay consistent and that may just start a holy “domino” effect. Keep working, loving and worshiping with God's people.
be blessed! (:
